Don't get stressed!

Easier said than done? Right, sometimes it’s hard. But especially in the middle of the most stressful situations, it’s crucial to take good care of yourself.

At the moment, I really get what it means to have a lot on your plate. I move houses in two weeks, have to take care of my company, and at the same time, there is another private project that I have to manage. Especially when requirements come from different angles stress levels increase.

But I am also sure that you can always take care, so stress doesn’t have to overwhelm you. Here are a couple of things I do for myself when it’s getting too much:

Lists and reminders:
What really annoys me when I have a lot on my plate is that open tasks jump into my mind all the time: „Oh, I have to remember that.“. Therefore I got used to writing down anything that comes to mind immediately or to set a reminder on my phone. That way, I can forget about it and am reminded when it’s due.

Taking care of small things immediately:
If something only takes one to five minutes to finish, I do it at once. This way, I hardly notice it. Whereas if I have to add it to my todo-list, it becomes a task and feels heavier immediately. Many small tasks add up to something that needs way more time. And if you are honest, you always find a couple of minutes here and there, don’t you?ujiojhojkklkökökökö
